Course Aims & Teaching Methods

Ship Powering & Construction Module provides students with an understanding of ship power requirements, and the design and constructional aspects of ships for safe operation and maintenance. Additionally, the module provides students with an understanding of fuel consumption theory, propeller theory, and rudder theory.

The module will be taught predominantly through lectures, tutorials and online assessments.
